Zukang Shen

Zukang Shen finished his Ph.D. degree in May 2006 under the supervision of Prof. Jeffrey G. Andrews and Prof. Brian L. Evans at The University of Texas at Austin. His dissertation is entitled Multiuser Resource Allocation in Multichannel Wireless Communication Systems.

He received a BSEE degree from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, in May, 2001, and an MSEE degree from The University of Texas at Austin in May 2003. As mentioned in the Vita section of his dissertation, he was an intern at Freescale Semiconductor in Austin, Texas, in Spring and Summer of 2004. In Summer 2005, he was an intern at Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas. After finishing his PhD degree, he worked as System Engineer with the Wireless Infrastructure Group of Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas, from June 2006 to March 2009. From March 2009 to July 2015, he was a System Engineer at Datang Mobile in Beijing, China, where he was involved in next-generation cellular standards and systems. He is currently a Consulting Researcher in the Core Technology Laboratory in Corporate Research and Technology at Lenovo in Beijing, China. He continues his leadership in next-generation cellular standards and systems.

His PhD research was in multiuser multichannel wireless communication systems, esp. power and subcarrier allocation in multiuser multicarrier systems and precoding and antenna selection in multi-antenna systems.
