I'll introduce you to our batch:
While reading, don't miss any
catch
It begins with
Rajat
,
opener of our group;
So, he always led our troop.
("Soujanna mulak", meaning: for courtesy sake)
We had both serious and freak
out kinds
Ayon and
Tamal,
with their creative minds.
Two Sujoys,
one Niloy
with rhyming names
Were always on popularity hall
of flames.
(Guptaji's
bright discovery)
Shakti,
the intelligent one in our lot
Vivek,
ready to help whenever we sought.
Swaroop-
Sharba,
best friends from school days
And Amit
with all his moody ways!
Yet another mix of
Rahuls
again,
Can make you happy, if you're
in pain.
Gunashekharan,
the hockey champion of our class
Swagatam and
Koushik
chose
drama for time pass
Ashani's
genius, backed with 13 hours of sleep
(As
confessed to Prof. C. R. Dasgupta)
Would delve into knowledge,
sound and deep.
Another avid learner was Mainak
himself;
While
Serene's ways of life were hard to tell.
(Apparently,
she shocked (rocked) everyone by getting engaged)
The matured one in our batch
was Pradip,
(First
one to marry)
And Muthaiya,
who would never sleep!
(Expect
to get emails from him at midnight)
Shoubhik and
Binayak
were
very subdued,
Making a point, never to be
rude.
(Most
soft spoken people in our batch)
Shubhendu and
Anshuman
were
also calm,
None of us saw them ever firm!
(Not
even when everyone teased them)
Lalan and
Manoj
with
nice smiles around,
Bring joyous air to people they
surround!
(Always
expect a smiley "Hello" from them)
And there was Gautam,
the gullible kind
Serious about his studies and
a sound mind.
(He
used to do a lot of social work)
Dev Shankar and
Anupam,
with looks alike
(Initially,
I would always confuse between them)
And Niraj,
who on campus never rode a bike
(Being
in RK Hall, he never needed one)
Srinivas,
was another "cat", with IQ soaring high,
While Sateesh's
figure, could make anyone sigh!
(Being
a badminton player, he had the best built figure)
Sumanto
was a copycat, as we could call him,
(Famous
for copying Serene)
And there was Arjun,
better known as "Jim".
