Neural networks are designed to model the way in which a human brain performs a task. They have been successfully used in signal processing systems over the last ten years due to their ability to learn adaptively, model nonlinear phenomenon, and perform computation in parallel. In this talk, I combine neural networks and signal processing systems for channel equalization and image enhancement. I also develop a framework for codesigning and cosimulating these hybrid neural network and signal processing systems.
