Code Division Multiple Access is now positioned to become a major system option for the next generation digital cellular systems. This talk will present a basic review of Code Division Multiple Access communications, followed by a quick look at the current IS-95 CDMA cellular phone standard. The talk will also discuss some of the proposed system modifications for enhanced (third generation) CDMA systems.
