Abstract
In this proposal, we propose a subsymbol
equalization technique for Multicarrier systems. We
try to recover a small portion of the long time domain
symbol, a subsymbol, by the frequency domain one-tap
equalization. We introduce two applications of the
subsymbol equalization. The subsymbol equalization
technique is used for bandwidth efficient transmission
in an OFDM system. We also propose a new
non-synchronized sampling scheme (fixed free-running
oscillator is used for the sampling time generation)
in the DMT receiver as the second application of the
subsymbol equalization.
